Catalyst Engineering & Coating Technology for Industrial and Emerging Markets

By combining catalyst development, analytical testing, coating expertise, and scalable manufacturing capabilities, CDTi works collaboratively with customers to accelerate commercialization and support evolving emissions and performance requirements.

1996 – Our Story

Founded in 1996 by doctoral researchers from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), CDTi was built on innovative catalyst technologies designed to reduce reliance on costly platinum group metals while maintaining high catalytic performance.
CDTi’s early focus on automotive emissions systems led to partnerships with global OEMs including Honda, GM, and Renault, helping establish engineering, manufacturing, and quality systems aligned with leading global catalyst suppliers.
Today, CDTi applies decades of catalyst engineering and coating expertise across a growing range of industrial and environmental markets, including stationary power generation, methane abatement, carbon capture, industrial emissions control, and advanced
 catalyst applications.
