COMBIFILTER®
Active Diesel Particulate Filter System for Off-Road Applications
CombiFilter® is an Active Diesel Particulate filter. The California Air Resources Board and the Mining Health Safety Administration have verified it to Level III (>85% PM reduction) for Off-Road engines used in mining, construction, and material handling applications.
- CombiFilter® comprises an on-board filter assembly and an off-board regeneration station.
- The filter assembly collects the soot during a typical work shift (8-10 hours).
- When the shift ends, the filter assembly is automatically cleaned and connected to the regeneration station.
- The regeneration process is achieved through electric heat and pumped air.
- CombiFilter® can be regenerated either off-board or on-board.
- CombiFilter® is available in two models:
Model K is an 8-hour regeneration time
Model S is a 60- to 90-minute regeneration time
On-board Regeneration
Intended for a small fleet (1-5 vehicles) with set parking spots and a set work shift. At the end of each shift, the vehicle operator connects the filter assembly to the regeneration station. After the set regeneration time, the filter assembly is clean, and the vehicle is available. The vehicle operator will disconnect from the regeneration station and return the vehicle for use.
Off-board Regeneration
It is most appropriate for a large fleet with a well-trained and motivated maintenance department. At the close of each shift, each vehicle has the soot-loaded filter assembly removed and exchanged for a clean filter assembly. The maintenance personnel will use a central bank of regeneration stations to maintain the filter assemblies.
