Trends Driving Clean Energy Innovation
CDTI on Jan. 23, 2025
As we step into 2025, the recent California fires and the clear impacts of climate change weigh heavily on our minds. These challenges underscore the need for clean energy technologies to combat emissions and build a more sustainable future. At CDTi Advanced Materials Inc., these realities strengthen our resolve to innovate and deliver solutions that make a real difference. We’re reflecting on the progress made in 2024 and looking ahead to how we can continue driving meaningful change in the year to come.
How Fuel-Borne Catalysts Move Industries Toward Clean Energy
In 2024, we successfully launched new Fuel Borne Catalyst (FBC) products in the UK. This marked a significant step in expanding our reach and providing industries with effective tools to enhance fuel efficiency while cutting emissions. Alongside this launch, we participated in key events like CCUS, Gastech, and MineExpo, as well as several regional tradeshows. These events gave us the opportunity to reconnect with long-standing customers, meet new partners, and share insights about the evolving needs of the industries we serve.
CDTi’s Progress in Carbon Capture Technology
On the innovation front, we made meaningful progress in Carbon Capture technology, advancing our sorbent-coated products to meet the growing demand for decarbonization solutions.
Focus on Methane Abatement
Methane abatement also remained a major focus, with the publication of our Feasibility Study for the MAMII initiative. This report underscored the significant potential of methane abatement technologies in mitigating the global warming impact of this potent greenhouse gas. These achievements helped to position CDTi as a leader in emissions reduction innovation and laid the groundwork for what’s to come.
Kicking Off 2025: Industry Trends in Emissions Control
As we look ahead to 2025, we see continued strength in legacy markets like diesel emissions, backup power, and mining air quality. These industries remain vital as regional clean air initiatives and stricter regulations drive the need for reliable emissions control solutions.
Carbon Capture Initiatives
In Carbon Capture, we expect the market to expand as pilot systems begin operations, offering exciting opportunities to grow our presence in this area. Methane reduction will also be a critical focus as transportation sectors push toward Net Zero targets by 2050, with our technologies ready to support these ambitious goals.
Fuel Borne Catalyst Growth
Another area of opportunity lies in the growing adoption of Fuel Borne Catalysts. These solutions are becoming increasingly recognized as practical, efficient tools for improving fuel performance and reducing carbon emissions. With more industries embracing these technologies, we anticipate significant growth in this space throughout the year.
Advancing Clean Energy
As we start 2025, we’re ready to build on the successes of 2024 and embrace the challenges and opportunities the new year brings. At CDTi, we remain committed to advancing emissions reduction and clean energy technologies that make a real difference. Whether it’s through innovative product development, supporting clean air initiatives, or helping industries achieve their sustainability goals, we’re focused on delivering solutions that matter.
